Champions for D11 is a teacher-backed, community-centered slate proudly endorsed by the Colorado Springs Education Association (CSEA). We aim to:

Focus on our students' need for safe schools, proficiency in the fundamentals, and multiple pathways, from higher education to career options.
Attract and retain the best teachers so students can get the best classroom experience possible.
Locate parents' voices front and center, keeping extreme politics out of schools.

Charles Johnson

D11 Graduate & Public Ed Advocate

Charles grew up in District 11 and understands both its opportunities and its challenges. He’s running for the school board to be a strong voice for students, a collaborative partner to teachers, and a reliable liaison to the community. Charles believes that putting students at the center of every decision and supporting the teachers who inspire them is how we restore trust, transparency, and the spirit of D11 for generations to come.

LeAnn is a proud D11 graduate and parent with deep roots in Colorado . The daughter of retired D11 and D20 educators, she knows firsthand the power of public education to transform lives. A Smith College graduate with experience working with students of all ages and abilities in mental health settings and at Colorado College, LeAnn brings professional expertise in data management and financial analysis. She’s committed attracting and retaining passionate D11 educators while safeguarding the district’s financial security for all students.
